AKVIS ArtSuite is an impressive collection of versatile effects for decorating photos. You may need it on many occasions: when creating a postcard for your friends, making a holiday album, a personalized desktop wallpaper, or just playing with your images "for art's sake". AKVIS ArtSuite offers several basic effects that allow creating an endless number of effect versions.

The effects are grouped as Frames and Effects.

Frames:
Photo frames (edge effects) let you generate a photo frame for your photo.
Add elegance and style to your image by putting it into a classic frame with wood carving or create a funny picture by adding some cheerful frogs.
The frames samples that come with ArtSuite can be easily tailored to your particular photo. Select a color for the frame; choose its form, its style, brightness, and the intensity of the applied edge effect.

You can create a passe-partout, frame with ragged edges, scratched surface, a page curl, etc. It can be a wooden frame with figured carving or a frame with an ornament. If you enjoy working with layers, you will appreciate the possibility to apply a transparent frame, so that the lower layer(s) could serve as a background.

Create your own unique frames! You can load any image as a sample and generate an original photo frame. The result can be astounding!

With ArtSuite Standalone, it's not only possible to create frames from samples, but also to apply ready-to-use hand painted frames, high quality images with holes of any shape, in which to place photos. Some such frames are included in ArtSuite, and an additional free set of frames is available for download without charge.

Effects:
Artistic effects allow experimenting with photos - convert a photo into a B&W image and consequently add a color shade to it (for example, a sepia effect); replace colors on an image; add a texture (chosen from the built-in Texture Library or one created by the user) so that the image looks like drawn on a canvas, brick wall, corrugated paper; turn a photo into a halftone picture giving it a retro comic book look; make a portrait photo look glamorous; create a color stripes effect, etc.

The software is ease to use and to learn, and has a simple and intuitive interface. The program's window displays Before and After images for comparison. You can switch between them with a click on the image.

The Hints panel shows the description of the parameters and buttons when you hover over them with the cursor.

AKVIS Chameleon is an efficient tool for photo collage creation. This ingenious software makes the process easy and entertaining. You can use AKVIS Chameleon in many ways. The object does not change its color range or opacity, only its edges adapt to the new environment and get smoothed. This mode is good to use for creating photo collages with people (pasting a person into a new background).

Chameleon Mode. In this mode the program adjusts the pasted fragment to the target image color range and smoothes the object's borders. It looks similar to the way a chameleon adapts to the environment.

Blend Mode. In this mode the program does not only smoothen the borders of the pasted object and adjusts its color range, but it also makes the object semi-transparent, so that the texture and the relief of the primary image can be seen through. Use this mode if you want to "dissolve" the pasted image in the background.

Emersion Mode. In this mode, like in Montage mode, the program combines images to create a seamless photo montage. The difference between the two is that in Emersion Mode the pasted fragment does not overlay the background, but embeds into the background so that only certain parts of the fragment are visible. This mode allows making montages with difficult objects (trees, etc).

Double Exposure (Home Deluxe/Business). This mode is based on the real-world technique used by photographers. Two images are superimposed into a single photo using different blend modes and taking into account the luminance values. The most popular is combining landscape scenes with human portraiture where a silhouette darkens an overlay photo or appears isolated on a blank background with an overlay image showing through it.

Image Scaling + Message Size Indicator (New!)
The Image Scaling feature in Postbox 5 resizes large inline images with just a few clicks. Select an image to be resized, then click on a resize icon to scale the image down. Deselect the resize icon to revert the image to its original size and resolution. What's unique about the Postbox approach is that image scaling can be performed on a "per-image" basis, as opposed to the all or nothing approach found in some other email clients.

The message size indicator will display the total message size, including text and images. Since ISPs have size limits for messages sent through their servers (for example, Gmail places a 25MB limit), Postbox can be set to display a warning if you exceed a certain threshold.

Anti-Tracking (New!)

Source can be beautified on demand using any of the profiles and can be configured to beautify as you type using your preferred beautifier settings.

Beautify While Typing
When the "Beautify while typing" feature is enabled for C++, Object-C, Java, JavaScript, XML, or HTML, your code will be automatically beautified when you type ';', '{' or '}'. This improves the consistency of your code and produces more readable code with better spacing.
SlickEdit is the first product to beautify C++ as you type. Even with the complexity and ambiguous syntax of C++, re-spacing options for all operators including * are supported.

Syntax Expansion
Expands common block structures (if, for, try, ...) when the initial keyword is typed. For example, when "if" is typed followed by a space, SlickEdit inserts the parentheses for the condition and the braces. You can define additional structures to be expanded.

Auto-Completions
Completions reduce keystrokes by automatically completing symbols as you type. After typing the first few characters of a symbol, a brief pause will pop up a list of possible completions. This list is comprised of matching symbols in the tag database and matching lines of code in the current buffer. If a line match is selected you can add successively more text from that line using the complete-more command (Ctrl+Shift+Space).

VariSaturator can be used both to boost the loudness of the audio tracks without increasing their peak levels proportionally, and to apply subtle harmonic coloration that makes tracks sound more pronounced and polished.

VariSaturator features two saturation modules which are applied in sequence, in two-band mode each. The tube/valve saturation module applies asymmetric valve processing that closely resembles sound of a high-quality valve amplifier cascade. Another saturation module VariSaturator features is a digital "waveshaping" saturator with feedback topology. This module applies smooth two-band saturation which can amplify signal level and apply desirable harmonic coloration. If you have some "muffled" track in the mix that needs to cut through the mix better, VariSaturator will help you in this case easily.

VariSaturator can be used in a variety of audio processing cases: you may apply it with good results over drum, bass and vocal tracks, over sub-mixes and of course over complete mixes.
